China Airlines is the flag carrier of the Republic of China (known as Taiwan). Its main hub is in Taipei and is a member of SkyTeam. Its code is CI.

I flew Air China from Nanjing to Beijing, then Beijing to Frankfurt and return.
As usual I ordered a VGML for me and a VJML for my husband.
Our impression was that the quality was pretty average on the China -> Europe haul, while it was much better on the way back.
What's important is that they didn't let us down, we had something to eat and that was a relief: the flight was long, the seats totally uncomfortable and the entertainment poor.

How to order vegan food on Air China
It should be possible to check in online and order your special meal from the official webpage, but in my case neither options worked...
I know many people have issues getting things done both using the APP and the desktop version, so what I suggest (and what I did) is to write an email at your local Air China office ask forward your request to them, they are super helpful!
